AutoDocs began not as a business plan, but as a shared idea around a dining room table. A conversation between patent prosecution professionals who knew there had to be a better way. Frustrated by the repetitive, time-consuming nature of filings and documentation, they envisioned a smarter system that could bring automation and clarity to the complex world of IP management. That idea became IPDAS. What started as a proprietary solution inside a major Washington, D.C. law firm soon grew into something much bigger. In 1998, AutoDocs LLC was founded to bring IPDAS to other law firms and corporate IP departments, helping teams everywhere work more efficiently and confidently.

I just wanted to thank you for the IPDAS for Foreign practice!!! I’ve been using IPDAS for foreign practice for – oh my gosh – I think about 15 years now? It is AWESOME. I’ve only been using the ePCT interface for about the last three years though. And the ePCT interface is COOL. In addition to using IPDAS to file PCT applications, I use it for so much more! I have trained many brand-new paralegals on foreign practice and added guidance on the differences in country laws within the templates – I love the pop-ups! IPDAS can be an incredible tool not just to get the data correct, but to remind paralegals of potential deadlines if the custom templates are thoughtfully constructed. Anyway, I wanted to thank you.
